Complicated homecoming...

It had been years since Alastor had last seen this town, bustling with humans and reeking of demons. It was almost comforting...if not for the fact that he knew his master was here. The master he'd abandoned without a word, who would be fully justified in striking him down for his insubordination. But it wasn't in Alastor's nature to run. He'd had his taste of freedom, now it was time to face the consequences. If he was lucky, maybe he could come out on top this time and be truly free.

But that would be once he entered Devil May Cry, something he would wait until daytime for. He didn't want to catch his master just returning from a demon hunt and ready to shoot anything that had fangs and claws. So in the darkness of the desert night, he stood atop a building across from the Devil Hunter's shop. His senses were attuned for any hint of magic approaching him, but he might not register an ordinary human right away.

*He stops mid-step, very nearly dropping her in his surprise. At first, he can't quite resist the temptation to kiss back, but he turns his head aside only a couple seconds later, blush back in full force.*

Y-you...really need to sleep this off.

[patricided]

[And her arms tighten in response. Thank you so much for not dropping her that would hurt.]

You're still going to hold on to me right?

As long as you promise not to do that again unless you're sober.

[patricided]

But I liked it.

It...just feels wrong, alright? Letting you do that when your judgment is affected like this.

[patricided]

[She pouts]

Okay fine. I still liked it.

...Let's just get you to bed, alright?

*Before this somehow gets even more uncomfortable.*

[patricided]

I need to change. Can you unzip my dress?

[Too late]

*There's another moment of choking on nothing and that blush flaring back up. She might land on the bed a bit unceremoniously when he puts her down.*

I...uh...guess. I'll, um...turn around and you let me know when you're dressed again?

[patricided]

[Unceremonious is accurate enough as she bounces, her dress flaring out a little until she settles. She laughing a little as she gets to her feet albeit a little shakily and then turns around to show him the zipper.]

If that's what you want. Not like it wouldn't be fair for you to watch me change, though.

I-I think you might kill me once you sober up.

*He hooks a claw in the zipper to pull it down, then quickly turns his back. His tail is stiff and nearly straight, with the tail twitching nervously.*

[patricided]

[Sighing she wobbles over to her dresser and changes, the dress falling to the floor so she can put on a camisole and a pair of shorts. And then the bra follows shortly after landing on top of the heap.]

I'm decent. Aside from still wearing my shoes.

*Another breath he didn't really need to take, let alone hold. He turns back around and moves to sit on the corner of the bed.*

Sit down and I'll give you a hand with them.

[patricided]

Okay. [She wobbles her way over and flops more than sits down on the bed. Her boots in easy reach for him once they stop moving.]

*Once again, he hooks a claw into the zipper to pull it open. Starting, of course, with the boot she hid her phone in.*

[patricided]

[She flexes her foot once the boot is off. She doesn't even notice that he started with the one she'd slid her cell phone into earlier. It just feels good to have the shoe off to her tired achy feet]

*He drops the shoe off out of her reach, before taking care of the other one.*

Feel better?

Mhm. [stretch]

Good.

*His boots just slip off and he flexes his talon-like toes a couple times.*

Now you're going to lay down and go to sleep, right?

[patricided]

Maybe. [She tugs on his wrist. come on lay down let her snuggle you]

No maybe. You need sleep.

*He's just fine with laying down himself, though. Just sort of flopping on his back, wings angled so he's not laying on too much of the bony part.*

[patricided]

But I'm wide awake. [And another tug because that's not quite good enough.]

What, you need a lullaby or something?

*Moving one wing so there's room for her to lay down right next to him, better?*

[patricided]

[She just rolls into his side, putting her head on his shoulder her eyes closing as she settles.]

Mm this is nice. [she can hear his heartbeat and it's nice]

*He wraps that wing around her, almost like a blanket, and puts one hand behind his head.*

It is kinda comfy...
