Complicated homecoming...

It had been years since Alastor had last seen this town, bustling with humans and reeking of demons. It was almost comforting...if not for the fact that he knew his master was here. The master he'd abandoned without a word, who would be fully justified in striking him down for his insubordination. But it wasn't in Alastor's nature to run. He'd had his taste of freedom, now it was time to face the consequences. If he was lucky, maybe he could come out on top this time and be truly free.

But that would be once he entered Devil May Cry, something he would wait until daytime for. He didn't want to catch his master just returning from a demon hunt and ready to shoot anything that had fangs and claws. So in the darkness of the desert night, he stood atop a building across from the Devil Hunter's shop. His senses were attuned for any hint of magic approaching him, but he might not register an ordinary human right away.

[She pouts at him and wraps her arms around his neck.] I'll go if you'll join me~

*Just a moment, he needs to choke on nothing while his face turns bright violet. His wings flap a few times and it takes him a moment to get his brain back into any position to reply with.*

I'll...uh...I'll stay to keep you company, but I still expect you to sleep.

[She hums a little and nuzzles his neck, a wide grin on her face.]

*He's pretty sure his ears are trying to spontaneously combust now...*

Then...um...what do you want? N-no promises.

*It's doubtful he actually needs oxygen, given his ability to function just fine with his head engulfed in flame, but he still ends up letting out a breath.*

[She walks her fingers up his chest as she practically sing songs the words.]

*Ooooookay, using his tail to push her hand aside.*

I am behaving. You're just being sensitive.

No, you're being a little too flirtatious for the situation.

*Okay, heading toward the curtain of her bedroom. Sooner he gets her to bed, sooner he can get her to go to sleep, right?*

[She lifts her head and studies his face a second, her lower lip caught between her teeth. Yep totally not thinking here. And then she shifts in his arms and her mouth meets his.

Okay so maybe she was being a little overly flirtatious, shush.]

*He stops mid-step, very nearly dropping her in his surprise. At first, he can't quite resist the temptation to kiss back, but he turns his head aside only a couple seconds later, blush back in full force.*

Y-you...really need to sleep this off.

[patricided]

[And her arms tighten in response. Thank you so much for not dropping her that would hurt.]

You're still going to hold on to me right?

As long as you promise not to do that again unless you're sober.
