[ if he were to put a finger on it, displaced is the most accurate word to describe being in the human world once more. not even more than a few hours, walking the desolate streets that he had once trod on what seemed like ago, and that disconnect isn't really fading. being freed isn't the issue. no, Vergil is more than pleased with the idea that he can move about as he pleases. taking revenge for that forced servitude burns away at his veins, but he is no fool. rushing in without the power necessary to take on his former "master" is a mistake. suicide is not high on his list of priorities and without his inheritance - without Yamato - it might as well be a pipe dream anyway.
so what remains is the "what next" or "what now." wandering around, without a real destination in mind isn't any way to go about this. what he needs to know is the date and the year. Vergil doesn't have a clue as to how long it has been and at least it is a place to start before recalculating and formulating a plan of action.
